Leader of the Pack - Derby Phoenix Cadwell 5/6 Oct 2013

Cadwell Park was the destination for RMKD's season finale, to contest the mini thunderbikes race on our rapid Kawasaki ER6 supertwin, for Nick Anderson's second appearance on the bike. A disaster in the first race for Anderson saw Will Leaning storm to victory from 25th on the grid on his RMKD tuned ER6. Due to not finishing race one, Nick started 36th for race 2, and came through to finish 10th in a race which saw the top 10 riders all riding at a pace which would be enough to win at several other clubs.

For the final race on Saturday, Nick started from 10th, and after a few laps hooked onto the back of a 5 rider battle for the win, powered by a new ibuprofen based diet (as well as a very quick RMKD supertwin). He took victory ahead of TT man Adrian Harrison and Will leaning, and achieving the fastest lap, his first sub 1.40.

On Sunday's first race, Anderson took a repeat win from pole position with Leaning in second,  making it an RMKD one-two, in another competitive fast paced encounter. In the final race, a technical issue saw Anderson retire from the lead, gifting the win to Will Leaning from brother Josh, both on RMKD tuned machines.

Bem-see Anderson's Damp Dominance - BMCRC Cadwell 14/15 Sept '13

After initially qualifying in 3rd place for the EDI Asia F400, the track was then drenched in oil from another bike, resulting in a three hour track cleaning process. All riders then had to restart the qualifying session, in which Nick Anderson struggled to a 13th place start for the first of three races on the slippery Cadwell surface.

In race one, after sluggishly pulling off the line, Nick made his way to 6th position on RMKD's number one Kawasaki ZXR 400 before the race was red flagged after 4 laps. Sunday saw Nick finish in 4th position in the first race of the day, which was won by Paul Ellercker, also on an RMKD tuned ZXR 'rocket'. In the final race of the weekend, team principle Roger Middleton made a last minute decision to switch to Nick's own RMKD built ZXR 400, as rain started to fall, which turned out to be a race winning call. After 3 laps of swapping places for the lead, Anderson retained the position to take his maiden Bemsee win on the beautiful machine.

One Two Three for RMKD at Croft on Tee - Derby Phoenix - 17/18 August 2013

Dave Bell resumed his normal service at Croft, winning a hat-trick of races on the Lawson replica Kawasaki ER6, only failing to win all four due to race 2 being on a damp track with dry tyres. He set a scintillating pace, with a lap time of 1m 31.0s which left team manager/ tuner and overall RMKD top dog Roger Middleton absolutely flabbergasted.
Nick Anderson, riding RMKD's finest Kawasaki supertwin for the first time, came from 29th on the grid in race one to finish 5th. After that, he claimed three podium finishes with 2 thirds and a second in the final race. He proudly displayed his new piece of silverware in the awning window overnight.
In the weekends final outing, all three bikes on the podium were RMKD tuned ER6 engines, with Will Leaning taking the final podium position. This was none more so down to John Warrington's superb set up of the bikes on his dyno. Thanks John!

Bell-ting Pace at Oliver's Mount - Barry Sheene 15/16 June

RMKD racing headed to Oliver's Mount for the second time this year, with Dave Bell and track newcomer Nick Anderson. Both riders riding in the supertwin races, and Nick also on the beautiful ZXR 400.

Saturday saw all four seasons of weather in on day, which made it challenging for Anderson to learn the circuit. Despite this, he finished 6th in the 400cc race in the wet, resulting in his first ever prize money. He was thrilled, and quickly reinvested his money on a round of ham sandwiches. In the dry supertwin race, Dave Bell took 2nd place, impressively finishing only one second off the winner. Anderson came an unlucky 13th after losing three places due to a brake problem on the final.

Better weather on Sunday meant that Dave Bell was able to use his bike to its full potential, and slid his way to an emphatic victory by just half a second. Anderson took over 5 seconds off his best lap from the previous day, improving to a 10th place finish.

Buildbase see the Pace - EMRA 19/05/13

For the second time this season, RMKD travelled to the undulating Cadwell Park for the Buildbase EMRA round three. This time competing in the F400, it was crucial for rider Nick Anderson to get more track time aboard their zxr400 pocket rocket and to test the strength and reputation of the EMRA 400 fast boys.

After qualifying on the front row, with the cream of the EMRA crop Matt Zschiesche, Anderson was determine to add to his haul of trophys.A blown fuse soon sidelined the hard charging Zschiesche and with no one left to challenge the pace of the RMKD rookie Nick cruised to a first in class in both races. Even achieving a new personal best,  he only broke into a sweat  due to having a temperature from catching his mums cold taking both class wins by almost half a lap.

The next outing for the RMKD team is the Sheene memorial meeting at Olivers Mount 15/16th June, where he yet again teams up with Dave Bell.

ANDERWON - Cadwell Park NG 27-28 April 2013

The RMKD team headed to Cadwell Park for the NG meeting on the final weekend in April, with Nick Anderson hoping for decent results, riding the stock ER6 for the first time this season.

In race one of the 'MPH Bikes minitwins', Anderson started from dead last on the grid. He wasted no time and blasted off the line with more urgency than his customary Vindaloo had catapulted him to the loo!by the end of lap one he was in 7th and continued battling throughout finishing a strong 3rd, earning a maiden front row start for the championship race.

Points and trophys were the prize in the championship race, Anderson made yet another good start and got the hole shot He then may as well have been riding his dad's Yamaha Diversion as he entered coppice at a snail's pace, demoting him to second. Despite a worn tyre, he held onto 3rd place when the red flag came out after lap five, resulting in a podium place.

Sunday saw RMKD allow Anderson onto his prized ZXR 400 missile. In the championship race, he was in the lead by park corner, despite gallant efforts by past and current champions he took the chequered flag in convincing style, heading 2007 champ 'Lee Tyack' by 18 seconds for his first career win.

Bell Impresses in Mount Opener - Spring National April 2013

Dave Bell rolled out his minitwin spec retro ER6 for the first meeting at Oliver's Mount; the Spring National on the 21st April. Knowing that he was against many big budget supertwins, including a highly ranked journalist on a much more powerful bike, a decent result was going to be hard to come by.

Despite being down on power to all his rivals, Dave 'rode the wheels off' his minitwin, to come home 8th and 7th in the two Lee Vernon supertwin legs. If RMKD squeeze a few more 'horses' out of the bike for the next meeting, we are sure Dave can be battling much nearer the front.

BELL-t-ER of a Weekend! - Croft NEMCRC 6/7 April 2013

RMKD's season opener was a trip to the North Yorkshire circuit, Croft; fielding a two rider team. Dave Bell now riding his trait ER6 retro, a similar bike to which he has had much past success. Nick Anderson gave the newly acquired SV 650 its maiden outing.

Bell was soon on the pace and won the first three races of the weekend in his minitwin class. In the final outing, Dave pulled away from the field to earn his first outright victory of the season in dominating style. Anderson, hampered by his 'camp' £12 eBay leathers put in some productive performances, steadily improving his lap times throughout the weekend; culminating with a 3rd place in the supertwin class.

Young James Tadman guested for the team on the Sunday and made an instant impact with no more than a warm up lap to get acquainted with the ex Anderson stock ER6, lapping 5 seconds faster than his previous best on board his own ZXR 400 Kawasaki. The talented recruit Tadman next heads to Cadwell Park for the NG meeting on the weekend of 27/28th April.
